Sunflowers!

As promised, today's post is going to be about our Sunflowers! I made this pattern because I couldn't find one that suited my needs for my garlands. Nothing was the right size or quite the right shape. so I created my own!

Ok, so here we go! This pattern here on the blog will have a FULL photo tutorial, the purchasable PDF will have photos, but will not have the Double Treble Crochet or the Triple Treble Crochet photo tutorial.
What you will need:
4 weight yarn (I used Loops and Threads Impeccable in Chocolate Brown and Caron One Pound in Sunflower)
3 mm hook
Twine
Tapestry needle/ Yarn needle
Abbreviations-
CH- Chain
SC- Single Crochet
SLST- Slip Stitch
ST- Stitch
DTC- Double Triple Crochet or Double Treble Crochet
TTC- Triple Treble Crochet
Stitch Guide
Double Triple Crochet-
1) Yarn Over 3 Times (you will have 4 loops on hook).
2) Insert hook into CH 2 Space.
Yarn over and pull through loop (you should have 5 loops on hook).
3) Yarn over, pull through first 2 loops.
4) Yarn over, pull through 2 more loops.
5) Yarn over, pull through next 2 loops.
6) Yarn over one last time and pull through last 2 loops.
Triple Treble Crochet-
1)Yarn over 4 times ( you will have 5 loops on hook).
2)Insert hook into CH 2 Space.
Yarn over and pull through loop ( you should have 6 loops on hook now).
3) Yarn over, pull through first 2 loops.
4) Yarn over, pull through 2 more loops.
5) Yarn over, pull through 2 more loops.
6) Yarn over, pull through next 2 loops.
7) Yarn over one last time and pull through last 2 loops.
SUNFLOWER
IN BROWN, Magic Circle- CH 1. SC 8. SLST.
CH 1. (SC, 2SC). Repeat ( ) around. SLST.
CH 1. (SC 2, 2 SC). Repeat ( ) around. SLST.
4. CH 1. (SC 3, 2SC). Repeat ( ) around. Change to YELLOW. SLST.
5. (CH 2, Skip ST, SC). Repeat ( ) around. SLST in 1st ST.
6. In each CH 2 space- (CH 5, DTC, TTC, DTC, CH 5, SLST in SC. Repeat ( ) around. SLST in last ST. Fasten off and weave in ends.
