Updates!

Myself and my son, Elijah sitting in our new house!

Once again I've been away from the keyboard, and my crochet hooks, for a bit... If you are following us on social media, then you know that we bought a house and did the big move this past Sunday. After a long, hard day of packing, moving, and wrestling a toddler to the potty, I completely forgot to chose a Product of the Week and write a blog post about it... I promise you all that I will get back on track soon.

But first, a little bit about our new house!! We are still in New Jersey, but have moved a little south in the state. This makes it a little shorter of a drive for my parents to get to come see us and for us to go see them. We bought a cute little Cape Cod with 4 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. There is a finished basement!!! That's going to be our Dungeons and Dragons/ socializing room. The kitchen has granite counter tops! What's not to love about that?! ( The kitchen is my favorite room)...

Oh oh oh!!! I now a whole room I can dedicate to my yarn/ business!!!!!! This is one of the things I have been most excited about with this move and process; just being able to have SPACE for all of our stuff and being able to have a dedicated space for my yarn is so worth it. I no longer have to worry about the cat or toddler getting into my stuff, because I can just shut the door and make it so they can't get in ! Or I can now bring just what I need/am working on down to the living room and not have to worry about climbing over baby fences to get something. I can just walk upstairs and grab whatever I need while my son happily follows me up the stairs.

My son is so excited to have all this extra space too. He now has a backyard of his own to play in. The previous owners left their play set here when they moved out, so now he has swings and a slide all to himself. he loves being able to run around the yard and being able to dig almost where ever he wants. I'm just not looking forward to having to mow grass. My husband and I are extremely allergic to ALL kinds of pollen, especially grass. So I'm hoping we can afford a remote controlled lawn mower soon, so we can mow at a distance and not be constantly getting face fulls of pollen.

On May 5, I will be at the Pennsville Moo Duk Kwan Craft Fair. This event is located at 5 Carroll Ave, Pennsville, NJ 08070. This is their 2nd event, so hopefully it will be a great turn out for them! The even is from 9 am until 3pm. Come on out and support Handmade businesses! I know my husband now, more than ever needs me to make some money to help him with the house and everything involved.

I am still waiting to reach 100 sales by May 1st. I am currently at 94 sales, and you'd think it would be easy to get 6 more sales, but so far there have been no takers... However, if some miracle we do reach 100 sales by May 1st, I will offer FREE SHIPPING on every item in the shop for the month of May!!! Even on our heavy items, the baby blanket and full set of 6 Toddler dice!

As soon as I get the house a little more unpacked, I plan on crocheting more Toddler dice, and maybe getting some light weight shawls listed in the shop. I also plan on trying to do more with this blog, maybe start doing some yarn and pattern reviews, as well as sharing some tidbits on my family's journey with home ownership.

So please, swing by the shop and help us get to 100 sales and beyond! I'm not yet ready to jump back into the workforce and have my son be raised by someone else, so PLEASE help us make this business a success!
